  ....Okay.

  Explain to me how it's possible for so many Texan schools to be so effing stupid? I came from a blue-ribbon high school in San Jose, I get that it's a big city and some of these are Rural McHicksville but COMMON. My AP english classe in Jr. year had the book of Genesis and either Luke or John for the study because many of the books we'd read that year would have striking parallels to it

    We had NO problems making a cirriculum around the Bible without putting our own spin on it, it's NOT that difficult

      I grew up in Texas and we read the Bhagavad Gita and other religious texts including the Bible. In fact, in college I learned of other stories about faith that predate the Bible by several centuries that tell the same story about "the Corn God."

        Thank you, although I myself haven't read any of the other religious texts I know most of them are very similar.
