"We also have an agreement with the European Union to fund the series production," said Taylor.
The seventh episode, shot in Cairo this week, featured Sheikh Mohammad Sayyed Tantawi, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, the highest seat of religious learning in the Sunni world.
"I have always wanted to show Islam for what it truly is."

Interesting. Could lead to a better understanding and show that not all of those who are Muslim seek to destroy.

I'm a Christian for "true Islam image", but, every time I try to bring folks' attention to the true Islam image, I get accused of lying, racism, and hate-mongering by Muslims.

Don't think it was Muslims or Jihadists that started two world wars, or countless others the 20th century saw done by "civilized " countries

Yes that's right. They have a different opinion to yours. Who is to say which one if any is correct (actually neither are)? This is precisely why you need to at least try to understand their religion but you seem to be starting with an intransigent standpoint much in the same way that the Holy Trinity is abhorrent to them (they believe in a single god and not 3). You do realise that your Jesus is hailed as one of the major prophets in the Quran and they could argue that the Quran is the most recent version of god's word and thus being a more up to date and relevant document than the Bible.

And no religion except Christianity recognizes Jesus as the Son of God and the only savior.
That includes Judaism which a majority of Christians seem to worship.
All Christians need to read Second John and see who is described as the Anti-Christ.
Would it be possible that all Non-Christians have a right to have some doctrine other than Christian?
Reverend Parsley ( a backer of McCain ) says that America was founded to destroy Islam. How do you think that might set with Muslims? What was said about Farrakan when he said Juadism was a gutter Religion?
Christianity, Juadism, and Islam came through Abraham. There are those in power in American who would set Christian against Muslim for nothing but profit motive.
If we should be free to choose our religion, we should be free to be tolerant. If we decide that we need to kill off all Non-Christians, we may be the ones who die. Be careful for what you wish.

9/11 was indeed a plot of Osama Bin Laden and his cohorts. He did give warning prior to 9/11 that if the United States placed a base in Saudi Arabia he would declare war on America. Bin Laden said that would be a blasphemy to Islam and the Koran.
We did place that base in Saudi Arabia. Something the Government of Saudi Arabia was against until coerced by the U S.
This occurred in the 90's. Bin Laden followed up on his threat on 9/11. The rest of the Islamic world did not agree with Bin Laden, a Saudi.
By your reasoning it could be said that those Arabic nations in the Middle East could say "Crusades, that's all I need to know about Christians".
We do not need to start a world war against Islam.
The Religious Right is much in favor of eradicating Islam. All in the name of Religious freedom. What would be the cry in the U S if Islam stated they wanted to stamp out Christianity?

"Its goal is to help promote a vision of Islam that is both peaceful and tolerant and establish awork of enlightened Muslim leaders from around the world."
I think that's a great idea. And for a great book on a feminist version of the Q'ran or Koran that is all peace and love, try the Korana of Mother Goddess, available on ebay and at LuLu dot com.
It's time for all religions to forget the past and turn to love and joy. Peace to you all.

Had a good start to that in the 60's...."Peace, Love and Dope" and all that, but the American Dream took over...."Who Wants to be a Millionaire"

FTA: "He [Holland Taylor, chairman of the LibForAll]vehemently refuses any cooperation with the US administration because "it has yet to understand how to reform this world and prevent the spread of hatred."
This is a rather odd position to take since it is a federally-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in North Carolina. Seems it is willing to enjoy the fruits of the US but unwilling to cooperate with it.
I wonder if there are any other countries he "vehemently refuses any cooperation with".

Could this be construed as the same as "We won't talk to Terrorist Nations?"
A Non-Profit organization promoting understanding but says they won't Co-operate because their adversary dosen't understand is the same as the mirror speaking back.
I'm not stating that one side or the other is correct.
What I am saying is that people or groups or governments who have a difference of opinion should face up and look for a solution. Spreading poisonous words never solved an issue, looking for understanding with an open mind does.
I thought all Religious Groups in the United States were 501(c)(3) tax exempt. Even including Parsley and Hagee. I am not sure. Looking for guidance here.

Ummm, no. Unless you can show me a government-sanctioned group in Iran, Syria or some place similar that promotes religious pluralism and equality. False analogy.
The group is already "cooperating" in deed if not word by the simple fact that it is based in the US enjoying tax-free status and all the protections in this country of freedom of religion and speech. They use the freedoms and the resources of the US to attack the US. That smells more of a political agenda than a freedom of religion agenda.

CAN NOT GET IT ANY CLEARERE THAN THAT...
FIRST THE BIBLE WAS NOT PUT ON PAPER UNTIL 500 YEARS AFTER THE FACT...NOW-I ASK YOU--HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE AROUND TO REMEMBER ANY THING--VERBATUM ???
NEITHER BOOK WERE WRITEN BEFORE TWO THOUSAND YEARS AGO--WHEN THERE WAS NO "RELIGION"...WHAT HAPPENED TO THOSE FOLKS???

I'm not sure of your comment. So the Koran tell muslins to kill all non-believers? Non believers in what? Have you read the Koran, or the Bible for that matter?
When you say that the bible was not put on paper until 500 years after the fact... Are you speaking of the Old Testament, or the New Testament - I'm asking which.
No religion before two thousand years ago? HM you really need to do a little more reading.
But I don't know what you're statements have to do with this article or my previous statement. What I am saying is that two intities with differences of opinion need to talk to each other to solve the issue. That is the optimum way of living in an all emcompassing society.
By the way I am not a muslim. But I have read the Bible, parts of the Koran, excerpts from the Torah, other religious publications, and many histories, etc.
Can you and I communicate on this issue? In a friendly manner?

"So the Koran tell muslins to kill all non-believers? Non believers in what?" It's not clear who those non-believers are. But, if you read Quran 9:1-5, it tells Muslims to dissolve treaties with pagans, and, after the forbidden months are passed, to rise up and slay the pagans where-ever they are, and, kill them until they convert to Islam. So, it really doesn't matter that they were "non believers in what", just that they weren't believers in Allah, is all.
