The big news is we have a preacher who didn't go after a child!!!! This is huge. I repeat, he merely solicited an adult! Give the guy a badge or something.

Yet, I bet many are the sermons preached against being gay and other sins of the flesh. How swiftly the mighty fall!

When looking for prostitutes, one should stick to their own church.

This is a first in a long time. Usually some perv, well he may still be a perv, but at least he's not after babies.

He should run for a GOP senate seat. He and Larry Craig could travel together and avoid tap dancing in public restrooms.

Sounds more like NY Governor material. Now, if it were a gay male prostitution ring, then he'd be a lock for a Dem member of Congress like Barney Frank.

LIBS:

"Sounds more like NY Governor material."

DEMOCRAT Elliott Spizter was forced out of office for this very offense. Meanwhile, not only has REPUBLICAN David Vitter remained in office, but Vitter also received a STANDING OVATION from Republicans upon his return to Congress.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19795296/

"Louisiana Sen. David Vitter returned to the Capitol Tuesday, apologizing privately to GOP colleagues but refusing to take reporters' questions about the sex scandal. In a private weekly luncheon for Republican senators in the Capitol, Vitter briefly spoke and received a round of applause audible outside the room."

LIBS:

"if it were a gay male prostitution ring, then he'd be...like Barney Frank."

Actually, a House Ethics Committee cleared Barney Frank of "any knowledge or involvement of illegal activity." So you must mean Ted Haggard, whose endorsement Bush accepted.

LOL. Your partisan hypocrisy strikes again.

You mean, don't you, George W. Bush...right? I mean, we already know he has a penchant for allowing gay male prostitutes into his house for overnight visits...

double post. Propeller has been really impossible today!

This is really sad. It is after all the flesh that will make us fail in one way or another. The high number of these incidents seem to make a picture of the falling away from the church of some of the teacher.

These guys need to listen to their own sermons and when they feel themselves being tempted. Well reach out to another member in the church. I mean we are all human and have different temptations. That is why there is supposed to be a fellowship.

Sex scandals among preachers and republicans are easily the most prolific thing in the news these days, perhaps propeller should have a channel devoted to it!

We should call it:

Defrocked & Debauched GOPS

The Democrats are no better. But they don't have to live by any standards because they have none. If you are not in a sex scandal or being investigated for bribery or murder, you are not a good Democrat. At least Republicians will call a spade a spade and call for action ONCE they are caught. Get off your high horse. This double standard crap has to stop. One standard for all, no matter which party they belong to.

The Democrats are no better. They can not be held to a standard because they have none. If they are not being investigated for bribery, sex or murder, they are not a good Democrat. Stop this double standard crap. Your high horse has two broken legs. You know what happens to horses with broken legs!!

I don't know about that Codi, I agree there is no immunity from scandal from the dems but the ratio is staggering, for every dem caught in a precarious position it seems there are 100 republicans doing really deviate precarious things- look at this list-

http://dkosopedia.com/wiki/Examples_of_Republic...

This is why it's called the Republican Culture of Corruption.

I don't expect saints to seek public office, but how about just disallowing child molesters and other criminals?

Thanks for the link.

That truly sickened me. We need to get these people out of office and do a better background search on them before they are ever elected.

I don't understand the thought patterns of these people.

Bull, You had better find a better source then your left wing site. Democrats don't prosecute other Democrats. They allow them to stay in office or cover for them. Both are just as guilty, but at least Republicans will call for actions against there own. Democrats just giggle and say oops, sorry, what is your definition of "is".

I agree that the hypocrisy is glaring and that it is self-evident that we expect a high level of moral behaviour from people who should act like role-models.

I'm not sure that the entrapment method is the best way to go, however.

It seems sleazy and fighting sleaze with sleaze seems like an incremental manner of producing mire.

Adding more crap to the crap-pile, as it were.

That is a good point easily overlooked.

Now, will it be OK for Rev. Jeremiah Wright to sing "God damn white pedophiles wearing robes in white churches of America"?

Where is "bathroom" guru the foot tapping Republican from Idaho to defend this scum.

avatar
Reply

I am sure and people may not agree or ready to give in. Every pastor is a pedophile and it is only a matter of time before they are all caught. It could be that some of them will get away with, do they call in "SIN" or "PLEASURE". Your pick.

Wow, we didn't have to wait more than 12 hours to find out who would be next after that guy in Texas.

True! I wonder how long before our next "Holy Hangover"?

We could have a lottery, guess the state, guess the hours before the next one, win and autographed Holy Grail and a subscription to Hustler!

The liberals always want to bring politics into it and point fingers at the GOP, but they conveniently ignore any post that mentions Barney Frank.

avatar
Reply

Good news is they found, open and out of the closet, Barney Frank's wallet. Bad news is that it had your picture in it coyotero.

avatar
Reply

Um...you are pointing fingers at people other than the criminal. A little silly don't you think. And if you want to point fingers at Frank, check why you are doing it. As a gay man, I am very protective of my own kind.

avatar
Reply

I am not aware of Frank doing anything illegal. Are you?

In fact he's a pretty good role model for gay men don't you think? Contributing to the community and such.

There have been a steady parade of holy rollers and republicans in outlandish sex scandals literally daily (the last one was only 12 hours ago). If you throw in the indictments for corruption you pretty much have an hourly lemming parade. Though democrats are hardly immune to chicanery, you are comparing a thimble to the grand canyon.

It is the Hypocrisy that makes it laughable. Barney Frank doesn't go around claiming he's not gay, catch the drift?

Gadz, I love those other comments and I ain't gay but, geeze..you never know when I might get converted ?!?

One culture says no, another says yes. When in Rome...or St.Charles ?!?
