Well you know , religion is a hot topic . I say funding is good for all if it is not discriminatory . Everyone should get it . Yes , and what about the atheists . How would they apply since there is no religious affiliation , except denial . Should atheisim be considered a religion - the non-belief in a higher power ? How would that work ? Oh , and agnostics ? What do you all out there in cyber space think ?

I'm sure plenty of atheist-run charities receive all kinds of federal charity funds.
This is an interestingly fake story. In particular, the phony quote: "I am a religious man, therefore a moral man, and therefore you should elect me." Never said. Never uttered.
This "story" is pure bullsh1t.

The BIG contributors are un-religious.
The BIG contributors are only looking for a payback after the election.
When a religious group makes it to the status of the contributions of the BIG ontributors, they too can get their payback.
Note how well the White-Hous... office has been well funded under Mr. Bush, even though they burn money with no demonstrable benefit to the public.

The First Amendment of the United States Constitution states, regarding religion. "Congress shall make no law excepting religion or the free expression thereof."
Nothing about "separation of church and state".

Is that taken from the Constitution entirely made up by wolfie?
Cause...this is what the Constitution of the United States of America says...
" Congress shall make no law RESPECTING the ESTABLISHMENT of religion or prohibiting the free excercise thereof..."
And the Treaty of Tripoli went on to say...
"As the government of the United States of America is in NO sense founded upon the Christian religion..."
It was signed by President John Adams so I guess he agreed.

If you can't see in the constitution that the govt will not favor one religion over another, there is no help for you.

As a retired Christian minister, I am totally opposed to any kind of government hand outs in the form of money for any reason. Government does not belong in the business of Church, in my opinion. Churches, also in my opinion, do not belong in the business of government. Faith based Government handouts is just another way for Government to control what and which religions get preferential treatment. It smacks of the same thing Russia does in its state supported religion. George's fascists roots are really exposed with his faith based initiatives. This tyrant will ruin America before he ever leaves office, again in my opinion. He has already done a damn good job of it.

Would the current candidates for Mr. Bush's job continue the federal government's legacy of mixing church and state? Would they keep, restructure or dissolve the Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives?
When asked this question by Christianity Today
To see the answers by the 3 candidates you can read the stiry here:

This is interesting:
Under its Minority Community Health Coalition Demonstration Grant Program for HIV/AIDS, HHS' Office of Minority Health has made grants to faith-based organizations participating in the Impacto Latino Coalition Project. This project addresses the need for effective prevention programming to change community norms and increase community support for behaviors known to reduce the risk of HIV infection among Latino New Yorkers. The Latino Commission on AIDS, VIP Community Services and five churches are joining together as a coalition to address HIV/AIDS in the Latino community.

Time out for a moment to consider the single comment apparently left by Luvmyprez, late of Propeller, see the, er, bottom (this pun will become clear) of the article.
Several questions arise:
Did she ACTUALLY post it?
Is, as I've long suspected, Alpha G. Luv with a new nom de post?
All replies considered.
