The Holy Face of Hatred »

Admittedly striving to obliterate the separation of church, these are some of the more notable Christian fundamentalists, who have openly declared their "devine" hatred against liberals, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Secular Humanists, and homosexuals. Meet the leaders of America's holy war.

"We are engaged in a social, political, and cultural war. There's a lot of talk in America about pluralism. But the bottom line is somebody's values will prevail. And the winner gets the right to teach our children what to believe." Gary Bauer
Is this what we have to look forward to; religious wars in America?

Yeah, you tell 'em FTG.
I know from experience that even the allies are scared to come in range of the USMC, you have such great words and phrases on your side. Like "Friendly fire". Oh it's such a jolly affair for this fraternity, 'trained' (and i use this word very loosely) in the philosophy of "shoot 'em all and let god sort them out". Well when part of "'em all" are your alllies..and even your fellow US forces, who have REALLY been trained in small arts of combat, which are lost on the USMC, such as "don't shoot those on your side", then you don't even have to face the enemy for you to have a real good turkey shoot. In fact, when you actually engage the enemy, it's a bit of a b!tch because they actually fire back.
for anyone not liking my sarcasm, i will point out that over 50% of british deaths in the first gulf war was a direct result of USMC & USAF, even though in ALL cases, British forces were clearly identified.

As a footnote, it was an ongoing joke in the foreign legion that if you didn't want to be killed by american fire, then stand next to a republican guard!!

When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross. -Sinclair Lewis

Fascism? It's already here. Not only is it wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross, it's nicely polished and tied with a bow by the real power in this country - multinational corporations. Those people sell dog s.h.i.t. like chocolate. They just keep pounding the message enough times for us to believe them.
On another note, Pat Robertson from the article:
"Just like what Nazi Germany did to the Jews, so liberal America is now doing to the evangelical Christians."
I guess he doesn't know what happened. The only camps for Christians he visits are the ones needed to program kids to be robots for Christ.

Couldn't find a "good".
The "bad" were too omnipresent to be able to sort them out.
But my undoubted vote, against strong competition, for the UGLY...
Let's hear it for, drumroll... DONALD WILDMON.
Send "wild mon" to the Rastas in Jamaica!
They'll give him a hairdo at least and a few spliffs to bring a smile to his miserable countenance.

A hat factory of holy proportions indeed...
One of my favorite quotes inside the photo album is...(wait! we need a drum roll please...)
"Since homosexuals cannot reproduce, the only way for them to breed is to recruit!" Donald Wildmon
You have to go look at that photo when you read that quote to get the full robust flavor of this man's perverted thoughts.
I bet he plays footsies in the mens bathrooms.
Anyone care to make a wager?
Which is your favorite crusader?

But, really, Spade, what's the point? The dangerously backward will always be with us--easy to abhor, hard to dismiss. And the equally backward and credulous will always lend an ear....
To answer my own question, perhaps reading the comments of this particular crew will help one understand precisely how god becomes the Big Buttress for prejudice and bigotry.
I mean, "divine" "justification" covers a multitude of evils....

When they actively target, infiltrate, and control our schools, and churches, and government it's time to rebuff the hateful freaks.
Vigilance was called for by the Founding Fathers against EXACTLY these kinds of people, ones who put THEIR IDEOLOGY above our CONSTITUTION AND DEMOCRACY.
They are TRUE threats to our National Security and our Democratic way of life.
Don't tolerate fascism. Or we all die.
Intellectually, spiritually, and if the FEMA camps get operational, physically.
No good EVER comes from people who pray for the world to die so they can "rule" in Heaven.
Don't tolerate the destruction of the innocent as GOD'S WORK.
Incidentally, Fundamentalist Christians have done more to turn people AWAY from Christianity than all the atheists put together.
That's a killer Parade of Monsters, Spade.

They have declared US (average Americans) their enemy. Let's fight 'em if that's what they want.
It won't be like the Civil War. Most of these creeps will fold if America quits letting them get away with crap, like using churches for political-hate pulpits. They should definitely be TAXED for that.

The point is, in the past one could dismiss them, & laugh at their lunacy. Times have changed. Now they're gaining power in high places. We're going to have to address them seriously now, or they will be dictating to us through our laws.

>The dangerously backward will always be with us--
Since the aren`t bright enough to breed and earn a living, they are either a bunch of socialists living off the govt tit or they are aggressively recruiting from amongst us.
They knock on our doors when we aren`t looking and steal our children for nefarious means.
They infiltrate our children`s TV with dangerously backward icons like Barney to brainwash the next generation of recruits.
The cultural war is real, the class war is not.

Already happened. Remember W's faith based charity inititive? The true goal was to buy the black vote through the churches. W can send you a fat check to feed the poor, educate kids, and run other charities that will make the preacher look good. In return though you better speak good about W or the money will get snatched away.

splitrch8 months, 2 weeks ago
The flip side of the Faith Based Initiatives was the guy running it for the Administration. His name is David Kuo. A conservative Christian (but not a lunatic). When he realized that Bushco was merely using the faithful to buy votes he resigned. He wrote a book about his experiences in the White House. He said they sucked up to the preachers when asking for votes and campaign contributions, but laughed at them when their backs were turned. Not a flattering picture, but who's surprised by that?

I'm torn between laughing my head off about some of those comments, and being scared that there are actually adults that are seemingly 'normal' saying these things to other seemingly 'normal'people out in public. Some of them could be skits on SNL..I'm mean REALLY funny!!some very bizzare.

Oh no no, they still say that, but now apparantly your hand grows hairy (gee, like an ape... and they say evolution isn't real). God I'd be laughing at these raving lunitics if they weren't so scary. If we're gonna be going around labling people as radicals, these tards better be the top of the list or I'll go to the UN...Wow...and when has the US ever actually LISTENED to something the UN said, we're like the dumbbell Jackson who ignored all orders and followed his own calling, these psychos will fall the same way he did and the day they do the drinks are on me, nuts to the fact that I'm only 19!

No the fundamental core beliefs behind most religions are not about hatred. It's those that interpret them to meet their own self-centered and misguided agendas.
What kind of remark is this? Is it spiritual?
"We are different from previous generations of conservatives. We are no longer working to preserve the status quo. We are radicals, working to overturn the present power structure of this country."

It would be great to see all these nut-jobs gathered at convention and on walks Woody Allen. His opening joke:
"Bisexuality immediately doubles your chances for a date on Saturday night."
"I don't believe in the after life, although I am bringing a change of underwear."

It becomes apparent as one reads the diatribes of these radicals that these people really do not understand what is happening in this world. As MonkeyBiz noted, one of their claims is that homosexuals will kidnap a young boy and turn him into a homosexual. Help me out here. Who has knowledge of this happening?:-)
The claims are all preposterous, each one in its own way. But, when one does not understand issues, one feels threatened and becomes paranoid. Fear creates a need to attack. All of the rants, in my opinion, were made from ignorance and paranoia. And how do these radicals convert disciples to their ways of thinking? Easy, it's in the name of religion. Shameful.

Um, for some of them, I would suspect that their youthful impulses, both sexual and those involving religious drug & alcohol use (addiction) led them through a burn-out phase & then down this path of what they see as their opposite, their redemption...but instead, it is just another chain they can bind themselves with. Some of the Evangelicults recruit from such ranks. The Door & Potters House come to mind.
I've known many involved with both those cults & almost universally, they were 'saved' alcoholics & hard drug addicts. And let me tell you, having some burn-out with no teeth telling me he's a preacher & that I'm going to hell because I don't believe like they do is not picnic (unless you're in the mood for messing with them & then it's fun)

Just for you, Derek:
"I hope I live to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we won't have any public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them. What a happy day that will be!"
