  There is a problem with the xian numbers. When they want to seem the largest religion in the world, they claim a number around 2 billion. About half of that is Catholic. When it comes to theological discussion, many protestants say the Catholics aren't really xians. Then you have the problem with individual denominations saying only their denomination is truly xian. Now you have much smaller numbers. Which is it? Are there 2 billion xians? Or is your denomination the only one that is really xian? You can't have it both ways.

    (((You can't have it both ways.))) lol. Well sure they can, their god's "mercy and forgivingness is infinite and unending" (eternal)and if you don't believe this he (their god) will torture you with "eternal damnation".

    Eternal forgivingness and mercy and eternal damnation are mutually exclusive, you can have one or the other, but not both, and yet xtians have both.

      Good points, infidel, here and below. I just always find it odd they claim the greatest numbers in one breath, and denounce those of differing denomination as non-xian in the next breath. And don't get me started on the ones that say, "oh, ours is not a denomination. We are the true followers of Jesus". LMAO! Didn't the pope recently proclaim that all the protestants were not of the true church? Depending on who you ask, that clips about a billion of them out of the numbers.

      Well, I shouldn't be surprised at the inconsistencies in the numbers. After all, they do believe "a magic man done it."

  Islam only looks like it's the fasts growing religion, as it gains converts in countries with large families the children are individually, thus, making Islam look like it is growing faster.

  The truth is that religion overall is losing members; some denominations, sects and/ or cults are growing, while some are shrinking, as they steal each other's members.

  Atheism, Humanism and non-belief is growing at a phenomenal rate and this growth is due to the flood of people leaving religion, and as direct result religion, god belief and superstition is on the decline.
