whoa the Pope kissing the Quran, thats wild man. I find that hard to believe. I do think he sincerely loved Christ though. I don't agree with the Catholic doctrine about a many things but I still love them all. The same with Islam, I sincerely disagree with it all. I still love them all. The Holy Spirit is the only one that can convict someone and not me. I preach Christ and Him crucified and it is foolishness to many but to me its the power of God which all man are saved. :)

Amen to that. Let me take this time to state I have no hate for Muslim people, but they are a lost people who need to find the truths of God the bible and Jesus. I pray for their souls. I am hoping that these articleswill enlighten them some and they will begin to really search for the truth.

First of all, I don't hate Muslims. However, the thing that bothers me the most is the claim that they worship the SAME God as the God of the Bible. Other's claim that Christian and Muslim are both "Abrahamic". The bottom line is: The God of the Bible is, and has always been a "Covenant God". The Muslims (Ishmael's people) are not God's Covenant People.

"And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name ISAAC: and I will ESTABLISH MY COVENANT WITH HIM for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him" [Gen 17:19]

"AND AS FOR ISHMAEL, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I WILL MAKE HIM A GREAT NATION" [Gen 17:20]

"BUT MY COVENANT WILL I ESTABLISH WITH ISAAC..." [Gen 17:21]

Islam is a "great" nation. Great in numbers. But it is not "God's" chosen.

The word "Allah" is the perfect description of the "One God" of monotheism for Jews, Christians and Muslims

The word "Allah" has been used all along for the name of "God" in the Arabic Bible for Jews and Christians alike. The proof is easy to verify; simple go to any hotel or motel on the earth and look in the drawer next to the bed and take out the complimentary Bible, placed there by the Giddeons and then look on page 5 or 6 where they list the examples of translations they have made into other languages. The second example given is for Arabic speakers. The verse is from the Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 16. Everyone knows this one; "For God so loved the world..." and the word in Arabic for "God" is "Allah." Then if you have a Bible in Arabic, look on page one in Genesis, and you will find the word "Allah" fourteen times

Next, the word for "God" to the Arabs, ever since the time of Abraham, peace be upon him, has been "Allah" and He is to them, the Lord of the Ka'bah (the black box in the center of the Holy Sanctuary in Makkah). He was the unseen God whom they would call upon when in distress. Yes, they worshipped the true God but their worship was not purely for Him. They also worshipped other gods thinking that they would act as intermediaries between them and the true God Allah.

The Arabs know of Allah because Abraham visited Meccah and together with his son Ishmael laid the foundation of the Ka'abah. The descendants of Ishmael retained some of the worship rites and beliefs from Abraham. This included their knowledge of the true God Allah.

Elsewhere we have shown conclusively that the true god, "El" of the Bible is the same as "Allah" of the Quran.

re:"The Arabs know of Allah because Abraham visited Meccah and together with his son Ishmael" -> really? Genesis tells us that Abraham cast Hagar and Ishmael from his house.

"So Abraham rose early in the morning and took bread and a bottle of water and gave them to Hagar, putting them on her shoulders, and he sent her and the youth away. And she wandered on aimlessly and lost her way in the wilderness of Beersheba." Genesis 21:14

When Ishmael was still nursing, God yet again chose to test the faith of his beloved Abraham and commanded him to take Hagar and Ishmael to a barren valley of Bakka 700 miles southeast of Hebron.

so Abraham, after having sojourned with Hagar and Ishmael, left them there with a skin of water and leather bag full of dates. As Abraham began walking away leaving them behind, Hagar became anxious as to what was happening. Abraham did not look back. Hagar chased him, 'O Abraham, where are you going, leaving us in this valley where there is no person whose company we can enjoy, nor is there anything here?'

Abraham hurried his pace. Finally, Hagar asked, 'Has God asked you to do so?'

Suddenly, Abraham stopped, turned back and said, 'Yes!'

Feeling a degree of comfort in this answer, Hagar asked, 'O Abraham, to whom are you leaving us?'

'I am leaving you to God's care,' Abraham replied.

Hagar submitted to her Lord, 'I am satisfied to be with God!'[14]

While she traced her way back to little Ishmael, Abraham proceeded until he reached a narrow pass in the mountain where they would not be able to see him. He stopped there and invoked God in prayer:

"Our Lord! I have settled some of my offspring in a valley barren from any cultivation, by you Sacred House, our Lord, so they may establish the prayer. So make the hearts of people yearn towards them, and provide them with all types of fruits that they may be grateful." (Quran 14:37)

That is true Hmac but you must understand that the Koran has rewritten all that was written in the Torah and NT.
