the cover-up involved more people than the crime, again. this one has also held up for 30 years.

I hate to burst your bubble but there is no Sasquatch, no UFO's, no Loch Ness monster and Kennedy was not shot from the grassy knoll.

Just because an event is wierd doesn't mean there is always a cover up.

The message here is that the blind are leading the blind. People do not want to think ,just follow. They are still

doing this today. Just look at the South.

They should all sing "Three blind mice".

We should all think long and hard about the victims of Jonestown. They were not all that different from you and me. They were the victims of emotional manipulation which led to a form of brainwashing.

Both the left and right in this counmtry are accused of the same tactics.

Everyone who read this should be wary of the manipulation that we are exposed to on a daily basis. We all input 1000's of images and ideas daily and most of these images are for the benefit of someone else. Adverstising and TV are examples of someone else trying to convince to do something to their benefit (buy something, whether we need it or not).

Televison and movies portray a certain lifestyle and this is a subtle form of manipulation.

Some can resist these images and ideas but they register with some.

The basis of a just and humane society is rational thought, personal accountability and the Golden Rule.

It proves my ongoing blogs. 90 percent of humans are followers who will do anything, say anything and think anything to promote those idols they love and adore.

Thats why you see inane swings in the polls after someone like Bush has one speech, his polls go up. Followers who perpetuate wars for the upper class of America, are not the richest 5 percent of American, but the vast majority are followers who would promote the wealthy. They themselves have not shared in America capitalism that their idols have always benefitted from. Haliburton 40 dollars a share vs. 10 dollars at the start of the war.

Unbelieveable but true, these followers are nationalist who want America as a continued world super power regardless of billions squandered and lives lost. These inanes fail to see that the course they follow which is the elitist course.

These followers will never have any of the benefits afforded to those they promote but like I said lunacy abounds without free thought.

The corruption was brilliant! But, definitely disturbing. I don't feel bad about the adult people who followed him and died...they were mentally weak...the children that died is a shame. The heck of it is...there are all kinds of these people in the U.S. today...mostly in D.C.

            Much of this is true.

I have followed this story since the beginning.

Many former members have written books also.

            As usual: Follow the money.

Jones was a supporter of Dem. George Moscone and helped commit voter fraud to get him elected mayor of San Francisco. When Moscone's opponent charged him with fraud the answer was a bomb. The opponent decided to withdraw the charges. So much for truth, freedom and justice from the winners, by fraud. There was a lot of corruption in SF then and it has been passed down to the present.

Jones was apparently insane, as were many of his followers, and those who died were weak-willed or frightened or unable to fight back. This was not religion, but it misused religion in the brainwashing process.

Jomes was a megalomaniac who had some kind of wierd "God" syndrome. He thought he had some kind of special enlightenment and was far, far above most earthlings. Serious delusions.

Some others who had a similar syndrome:

                1. Richard Nixon - thought he was above the law

                2. Slick Willy J - Ditto

                3. Adolph Hitler - thought he had the ultimate power to change society by killing anyone he chose.

                4. Karl Marx - thought he had all the answers to a human utopia.

                5. Lenin and Stalin - thought they had sanction from Marx to murder millions to create Marx's utopia.

                6. Hillary - thinks she deserves the Presidency regardless of what voters think.

                7. Castro - really thinks he is a humanitarian and liberating Cuba.

                8. The leader of Iran (I can't remember how to spell his name). He really thinks he can bring back the 12th Oman.

Your post is right on the money.

You cant possibly be credible without having Bush, Cheney, Rummsfeld, and/or Rove on that list.

I believe you are just posting to include the names of Bill and Hillary as a mole, or maybe you're just weird.

                I reject your theory.

Invest07 "Close stations in Germany and Japan" First they stations are important to the defense of America. Russia is still very much a Nucleur and Military threat. As far as American being police ask anyone in the former republic of Yugoslavia how they were angered that the US did not react faster, although the US waited and tried to get Germany and France, major powers in Europe to solve the problem without any success. Like it or not the world has a Love hate relationship with the US. One because of our might and success. The Us will be blamed for any war they enter or do not enter.By the way if you dont believe Russia is still a threat you can look at several web sites and also read articles on Russia and the former Soviet provence of Georgia.

Albmore - Oh yes we are defending America in Germany and Japan. Germany also has troops in Afghanistan but they cannot be stationed anywhere unsafe or where there is fighting. NATO at its finest!! So much for our allies. We squander billions on bases all over the world but your decrepid thoughts want to continue the power of the world mentality.

Wouldn't it be nice to improve America instead of foreign nations who hate us for our foreign policies? Keep our money at home and the warmongers can then be pleasently surprised to see America once again grow with pride.

Jones was attempting to create a pseudo-religious empire modeled on the merger of religion and politics.

another good reason to keep these 2 issues seperate!

The Jonestown Massacre truly represented a defining moment in my life after 1978. You see, I was there. As senior medic of the joint humanitarian task force sent to Guyana to retrieve the bodies of 914 dead Americans, there has hardly a day gone by, especially since the 20th anniversary of the event in 1998, that I haven thought about Jonestown. I hoe you will help me get my book noticed by a literary agent by visiting my blog and participating in the forum or at least signing my guest book. Tell all of your acquaintences too.
