Every time I hear about the pro-life abortion naysayers, it makes me want to vomit. Who the hell do these people think they are? I could care less what their ideology says is right or wrong, as I should be free from their irresponsible, irrational tyranny.

The article makes a good point that if we Christians start making the law, then everyone else will start screaming. The author's conclusion is that the US has to stay secular to remain united. BUT -

The United States is merely a political arrangement, and it can always be re-arranged. It would be better for all concerned if the US were broken up and each community could rule itself according to the dictates of it's religion: Christianity, Judaism, Islam, or God-hating heathenism.

True enough. But at least we'd have something worth defending; sorry, but I don't consider risking life and limb to defend pagan America to be worth it.

So, you want to divde up countries by faith? Isnt that reversion to the Holy Roman Empire, with state sponsored religion and all that entails?

It would seem hat you have given up all hope of livigng with your fellow human being, if tey believe in a different afterlife and have different rituals; is this Christian tolerance?

Wouldn't what you advocate lead to Christians invading other geographic areas to save them? It's happened before, and it likely could happen again...

Additionally, there is no guarantee that a human society based on religion would be static, because the belief system of any given country could change...that's happened before as well.

Why don't you just learn to live in peace with other people?

Although I do not agree with the splitting up of our country due to religion since that is exactly how the Middle East is and they are constantly warring over it, I would like to thank you for your non-judgmental and quite intelligent remark. Too many times this ends up being a nasty and condemning argument. So, I want to thank you for keeping this a debate and not a mudslinging contest.

Abortion happens when a women is pregnant and doesn't want to be. How did that women get pregnant. Once in a great while birth control failed, or the worse rape. All others, keeping their boyfriend or husband or a date happy. I do not see where a women can with a straight face say "The Right to Choose".

The problem with this is that after we have all seperated into our neat little box communities people would decide they knew what is best not just for them but for their neighbors too. You and I both know that Christians prostelitize. You guys would be going around to the other communities trying to get them to go along with what you are doing. It is almost inherent in Chritianity.

You know that you are doing the Right and Correct thing and everyone else is wrong. You just want them to be able to go to heaven when they die so you need to convert them now before they die and go into eternal damnation.

Most of the rest of us like the way we are and arnt going to change just because you think we should. We don't think you have all the answers.

This will lead to strife, hatred and war.

            Not really a good idea.

I don't know why the Catholics just don't kill everybody that disagrees with them, it worked for them before.

I read the article "The Fear of Abortion..." that this gentleman wrote, and I couldn't help noticing his anger... almost rage! So it is with people who are like that. Lacking in understanding of their relationship with God (if they accept God's existence at all), they become heartless.

I do agree that church (or temple, synagogue, or mosque) and state need to be separate entities. That's not only in our Constitution: it's just plain common sense; you can't have an "official" religion. However, murder is still murder, and someone who wants the "freedom" to do it anyway is forgetting one very important thing: what about my freedom to NOT want to be murdered?

I feel compassion for people like the guy who wrote that article. They're so distanced from God and His very simple blueprint for happy living, (the 10 commandments, and in my tradition, the 4 regulative principles) that they're constantly angry and don't even know why!

I appreciate your comment. And I will agree that my writing was quite fueled. I just see the aftermath of what anti-abortion does. Please read the first comment my site about this issue

What if I said that I believe my relationship with God is completely and absolutely perfect. Again, here is a debate about God and how someone is aligned with Her. The problem with all of this is that none of it is scientific and objective. We end up arguing over ideologies.

My belief is that we do not get just one chance in this world. If we are aborted, we just wait for the next fetus to inhabit. But wait, that means are beliefs differ, so who should force who to believe what?

I believe we should allow everyone to govern themselves when it comes to their religions or ideologies when it comes to things like abortion. If you are pro-life, then be pro-life, and I hope the best for you. But, when you force me through the governing laws of this country to believe what you believe about abortion, now that I have a problems with.

The argument that we value life above all else is false. When a corporation puts out a defective product they analyze the cost of correcting the product verses the cost of the lawsuits that result from leaving the product as is and go for the cheaper of the two. We fight for oil. We back governments that ruthlessly kill the own people. We export more weapons than any other country. When we correct this money first behavior then we can talk about the value of life and the abortion issue.

Here is a suggetion. Rather than keep arguing over whether to allow abortion or not allow it, lets do this. Keep a record of who gets abortions and after the second one, steralize them. This would keep people from using abortion as birth control. Later in life, if they want to start a real family, then they can adopt. There are plenty of kids that need adopting.

How about putting those men/boys, that caused the pregnacy in jail. I have taken too many young girls to those abortion meat shops because when they said "I could get pregnant" the guy says " that's okay , you can get an abortion".

They should do that with repeat drug addicts, repeat births when on public assistance, repeat child abuse!!
