I believe in angels and know that I have several watching over me.

I know for sure that I have met one of mine, and they were one of the highest ordered Angels, as my life was in jeopardy with a knife at my throat by an intruder who decided to enter my house through my back window in the middle of the night back in 1991. I was almost 7 months pregnant and alone at the time. I am not getting into the story, but I don't doubt the existence of them at all. It was a mind boggling and life altering experience. Good find, Stoners.

I wished everyone had an angel story, not sure why that isn't. I have several and one day will write my own book on the subject. One I'll share: Nine years ago I was diagnosed with a horrible disabeling desease. All of the doctors and specialists said my life would be at a minimum, to forget about working etc. I tried experimental treatments, with one I almost died. After three years an angel appeared and touched my shoulder and said that I would be healed. I was overwhelmed by the visit. Well, I'm fine, no signs of the desease and am doing fanatastic. However, I feel like, why me? there are so many who are dying why not them as well? I'm no-one special. I don't understand.

Awesome Tango!

This is my angel story. I have at least one angel. Her name is Krista and she is my niece. Krista was killed over 3 years ago in a horrific crash. Her heart beat for 2 days even though there was no hope of survival. During that long 2 day wait for the "finality" of death to come, the one thing that comforted me greatly was the sight of the dogwoods in full bloom. I would leave the hospital and look at the dogwoods. I prayed hard for her suffering to end. Finally it ended and we were left with feelings of great sadness and a little relief. I told no one of my comforting dogwoods. When time for the funeral came we were left to decide if the casket would be open or closed. All agreed that it should be closed because of how bad the crash was. Krista did not look like Krista the last time we saw her in the hospital. We were allowed to say our goodbyes in private before the funeral. To do this, we knew we needed to open the casket. (cont)

Imagine what I felt when the casket was opened and I saw the underside of the lid embroidered with a huge flowering dogwood tree. Imagine what I felt when I looked at Krista and saw that it was her in that coffin with a beautiful smile on her face. She had a towel wrapped around her head and it looked just like a halo. Her face was beautifully at peace. The decision was made to have an open casket funeral. At the funeral mass the priest went to great lengths to try to comfort us, but he did make the point that her death would be our cross to bear. Why did he choose these exact words? I immediately remembered that Jesus' cross was made from the dogwood tree. After the mass we drove to the cemetary and I was left in complete awe. Krista's grave is directly under a redbud tree and it was in full dogwood-like bloom. I learned later that the redbud tree grows heart shaped leaves. I pick several of those leaves every time I visit her. Krista reveals her presence to me frequently.

Maybe many do, but don't want to talk about it, for one reason or another. ;)

My son also had an amazing experience. He was attending a university in the south and preparing for a literature class where the topic was religion. He was sitting in the library, alone debating what he would write. It was pouring down rain and lightning every three seconds. He said he looked out the window and asked God for guidance, at that moment the sky opened enough to reveal a spectacular sun beam streaming brilliantly through the window. He was in complete awe of what was occuring. He looked over at the shelf where the light was shining, and it just happened to be shining on the Holy Bible. That afternoon he called, which he seldom does, to tell me what happened. As you can imagine what the topic of his report was. Later that night on the news, the newscast showed a brief segment on how amazing the sun peeked through a horrible thunders storm.

OOOOOHHHHH!! I have goose bumps!!!! I love reading stories like this!! What hope it brings when we are feeling at our lowest!! Angels don't always appear as strangers.. many of us have angels in our family.. we just need to recognize God working through others in our darkest times.

Some of them sound fake as they can easily be explained by dreams, but other are too specific to dismiss without more information.

Once I was driving home after attending an all-day beer and chili festival when a terrible pressured feeling came over me. I felt like I was going to explode and needed a bathroom RIGHT NOW. I had another 50 MILES to drive and it was 1:30 in the morning and very dark. Just then I passed a construction site and there, under a single glowing light bulb, was a shiny blue Porta-Pottie. I really don't see any other way other than Jesus, God or a bunch of Angels flying around minding my business that this could have happened.

Without knowing the people represented by these stories, I don't know that they happened.

Yet, I have had occasions when things should not have worked as they did, but they did & it could have been angels making the difference.

I remember the story of the preacher who used to pick guest speakers up at the airport & drive them to where they were staying while visiting at the church.

All of those that I know told me the same thing. That there had to be an angel sitting on the fenders of that car, otherwise they have no idea how they got from and then back to the airport without being in an accident!

God does promise us that He will be with us, the question is will He take us home to Heaven, or will be delivering us from the situation we find ourselves in?

Thank you for watching over us!

The phrase....."Contempt prior to investigation keeps one forever in ignorance...." rings loud in my mind. I'm open minded regarding these things.......I prefer to suspend all feelings of disbelief.

It's logical to assume that my finite mind might have difficulty understanding the infinite.

But.......I choose to believe in angels. After all...what do I have to lose?

Great find Stoner! I have a Guardian Angel also and believe in the spirits that are here to help us. Way to much has happened to me for me not to believe.

I enjoyed reading all stories. I would not otherwise know how else to explain the fact that I began to pass out from holding my breath trying to get rid of hiccups one night. Everything went black even though my eyes were wide open and I began to loose consciousness. I was traveling alone in my car at 60 mph on a winding highway! I did not brake at all and amazingly did not end up in an accident! I didn't even so much as swipe the median! Vision returned and I made it safely.

There are times in our lives when it is an absolute miracle that we made it!

Lucky one PG!

Hi PG. The mythology of many religions and cultures tell us that there are phenomenon, sometimes referred to as angles, white witches, and sometimes good fairies.

This is my personal opinion. I believe that all life in the universe is connected and has the ability, from time to time, to enter another plane of existence to protect other life.

This in no way is contradictory to my belief as a Christian.

I always say that there are things we will never and shouldnt know. There was an account of a WWII sergeant sleeping in a barn one night with his squad when a medic came to him and woke him up. The medic said the captain ordered to get his men together and sleep in the woods instead. reluctantly the squad packed up and freezed in the woods. The next morning German shelling reduced that barn to a smoking crater. When the Sergeant asked his captain how he knew the barn would be shelled he said he didnt know and the captain asked HIM why he moved out of te barn and asked if HE knew about the shelling. Another curious note is that the medic in question was KIA a week prior to this event.

CK - Can you explain why you sank this story? It would help me understand your views so much more than just seeing your "sink" vote.

Tells you that some have nil understanding of the things beyond the sight of the natural eye.

There are some for and some against. "Just life" human nature. "some step farward some step back" "some give support some sink"

"Angels of the living God encamped all around me"
