Dec. 23, 2006, 6:18 p.m.I've had interventions in my life, but the weirdest moment might have been during an unintentional altercation with a pair of kids, one of whom swore at me for running next to the sidewalk. I stopped, asked him what he meant and he challenged me to a fight. His companion stood silently by. Something at work had happened earlier that day to make me really angry about everything in life, so I was already riled up. My blood was boiling. So I stepped closer and then happened to look at the companion, a spooky looking kid who happened to wear thick wide glasses. His eyes were magnified and fixed directly on mine. At that moment my anger subsided and I said something nice to the kid, like "forget about it" and walked away. Then it ran through my head that there might have been a thousand reasons that kid had to be angry and hitting him would not have made things better for him or me. I always felt that spooky kid with glasses was like an angel.

Dec. 23, 2006, 7:26 p.m.I'm a believer in most supernatural and celestial beings, angels are definitely no exception. They are heirarchal and each has a purpose...the lower level angels of light are our guardians and protectors on our Earthly journey...they can appear in whatever form if need be, like evolute50's 'kid with glasses'...they are supernatural and possess great power. But, there are the fallen dark angels called demons that are the tempters and seek to destroy and corrupt humanity's souls...we humans are accountable for our own actions because of our free will, that's why I hate the saying "the devil made me do it"..the devil cant make anyone do anything! But that's off topic- I love my angel =)

Dec. 23, 2006, 8 p.m.It would be wonderful if angels existed, however, I find it hard to believe. I think it's human nature to want to believe in life after death, angels, etc. I think a lot of people would find it to depressing to accept that once we die, that's it.

Dec. 23, 2006, 9 p.m.If angels do indeed exist, out side of baseball, then there is an explanation for the things that keep bothering me until I kill them.
And it's not that easy to kill them, either. But I do it without drugs or alcohol.

Dec. 23, 2006, 9:03 p.m." And she said they came, and have comforted her, since her mother-in-law died in their house." Please check around. That's that room deodorizer you plugged into an electric outlet a few months ago.

Dec. 23, 2006, 9:49 p.m.In 1980, the majority of Americans believed in George Bush.
The majority believe in the Easter Bunny right now. People are allowed to believe in nonsense -- everyone has the Constitutionally protected right to be a cretin and most maximize that freedom. No wonder George Washington was down on one knee. If he had been clairvoyant, he would have been down on two.

Dec. 23, 2006, 10:17 p.m.Angels, spiritual beings, can (under most circumstances) only be perceived by vision that is not physical in nature. This is why most individuals can only describe the sensations they experience and cannot provide evidence to support their beliefs. It should always be remembered that most everyone believes in existence of love but cannot prove the full reality of that in which they believe -- they can only point to the experiences sensed or felt. Do angels exist? Without hesitation -- yes. Angels also believe in humanity (even though humanity seems to make it very difficult to do at times.)

Dec. 24, 2006, 2:18 p.m.Then I guess it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that the rest of the world looks at the US as a bunch of gullible, bible addled simpletons.

Dec. 24, 2006, 2:34 p.m.What is soooo wrong about believing in angels? I don't get it. Is it hurting anyone to believe that everyone has a guardian angel? I don't think so.. If you choose not to believe, fine. But don't condemn others that do..

Dec. 24, 2006, 3:16 p.m.forget it- no one would believe it. I decided to delete my post. I had a story I wanted to share, but don't think anyone here would believe me, or someone would say something stupid and ignorant about it.

Dec. 24, 2006, 3:15 p.m.This would have been the second part of the story, but like I said, forget it. I guess I can just say that I am not afraid to die and I do indeed believe in Angels.
