Sept. 28, 2006, 10:46 a.m.Its too sad that people always need that outside force to get themselves through life. Why can't human beings start acting like human beings. Simply be good to others and to yourself. Don't pillage others. Addiction is not a curable disease.

Sept. 28, 2006, 10:51 a.m.Looks cool how do I join? That girls break-dancing moves are fresh!
Its funny how these people think no one but them knows god, and there way is the only way. like the you are with us or against us philosophy.
I don't think there is a conspiracy to keep this movie out of theaters by people who don't want it seen by the mass public. There are other more probable reasons I'm sure. Mabey its the freemasons or something?

Sept. 28, 2006, 11:11 a.m.Now that's what we really need ...MORE JUDGEMENT! Jesus & Mohammud followers are alot alike. Can't we find something better to teach our children? How could you be so wrong? I have an idea. How about tolerance? Leave our kids alone.

Sept. 28, 2006, 11:21 a.m.You got that right, MarsDlugosz, many Jesus followers and Muslims are very much alike in sharing their intolerant attitudes. But onm the other hand, many more Muslims and Jesus followers are tolerant, decent people.

"That's just strait-up brainwashing of our children. Religion is the main cause of wars and death. The world would be better off without it."

Good post. I have expressed this opinion many times. It is the intractable nature of their beliefs that is the problem. There is no compromise. No wonder they admire GW.
In other clips they show these kids in camouflage talking about being warriors for God. Talking about how wars are necessary and that they may have to die for God.
That is no different from the beliefs of Fundamentalist Islam, our supposed foe.
Does God give a 5 year old the cognitive ability to really understand the Bible? C'mon, as you said this is straight up brainwashing. They see themselves as ideal children and others as somehow lesser beings. Scary stuff.

Sept. 28, 2006, 12:11 p.m.I think there should be a law prohibiting teaching children any kind of religion. Let children grow up first and make their own judgement. Chritianity and Islam are doing too much harm to human-beings.

Sept. 28, 2006, 12:14 p.m.Ya know, this sort of thing brings to mind Geroge Orwell's 1984. Boy was he right...telescreen, victory gin, thought police, you name we already got it. We don't want it. It is becoming increasingly difficult to have any respect for what one commentor called "SHEEPLE". Lord have mercy, but they are so utterly small minded. In Jesus' name!

Sept. 28, 2006, 12:26 p.m.Great.....skinheads for jesus... this is not the religion of our fathers this is dangerous toxic waste, the intolerance, prejudice and bigotry in the name of god. These people will have a special place in hell for the blatant adulteration of christianity. This zealotry approximates the lunacy that exists now with the radical islamists. Except for the danger evangelicals present, it would be interesting to see where this movement ends up in 20 to 25 years if we can weather their wrath. Hopefully along the path most of these people will awaken from their stupor and realize this is not what jesus had in mind. Or we can hope for an early rapture and get most of them off the road.

Sept. 28, 2006, 12:35 p.m.Really nice that these people can't get along with their fellow believers. Ted Haggard is the Pres. of the NAE(Nat. Assoc. of Evangelicals) if he tells his flock of sheep not to see this, they won't. This group can keep bowing before pictures of Bush but if Rev. Ted tells Bush to ignore them he will. Rev. Ted has a bigger voting bloc.
To these folks the world is all black/white, only good and evil, and they get to judge where you fall. Who is that reminiscent of?

Sept. 28, 2006, 12:41 p.m.These people do not represent mainstream Christianity. They are nuts. The woman leading this group is nuts. The poor children are being used and misled. True evangelical Christians do not follow any one person, they follow the Bible. To bow down to a photo of anyone is crazy. I pray that one day, these kids will have a chance to see the true light.

Hmmmmm. That would be communist China, Russia, Mongolia.... just to name a few. Some of the most oppressed nations on earth. I am not a huge supporter of religion. It is pretty nauseating, in my opinion. HOWEVER, I did not hear any of these little people shouting "death to the infidels!" They may think they are religiously superior, but they are not for killing non- believers.

Sept. 28, 2006, 12:44 p.m.Karina, as far as unbiased reporting goes. You get a big fat F. You need to work a bit harder at keeping your personal feelings out of it. You sounded a bit like Hillary Clinton when she gets going.... like a screaming liberal. These people are not dangerous, they are doing things that make a lot of us uncomfortable.... but they are not propogated hate. If you want to be credible, maybe you should investigate terrorist training camps, or a muslim school in Afghanistan.

Sept. 28, 2006, 12:49 p.m.All of the analogies to "hitler and the nazis." Hmmmm. I am missing the pro death, antisemitic, kill the infidel theme in this clip.
I mean, if you want to compare this group of "fundamentalists" to radical Islam or Nazis... you would have to be able to support the idea that they want to kill people who are not like themselves. I don't see that happening here. They do seem to think they are better than others, but they also seem like they want to share what they believe makes them different with others. The little girl at the bowling ally didn't say, "accept my God or die." I think people are going way over board on this one.
That's it. Just ban voting for all religious people. That will totally solve the problem. OR we could just make religion illegal and go back in time. Please....

Sept. 28, 2006, 12:53 p.m.Midwifn, you say you are not a big fan of religion. Let me ask you one question, how did life begin? I mean, how did we all get here? How is it that the people on the bottom of the globe don't fall off? Why do humans, fish, animals, insects, etc have two eyes, one nose and a mouth all in pretty much the same layout? Ok maybe that was more than just one question. Doesn't that look like there is a fairly consistant design in the world around us? If there is a design, shouldn't there also be a designer of some kind? I have studied most all of the world's religions and I have come to the conclusion that I am a simple man. I need proof to believe something. The religion spoken about in the Bible is the only one that truely explains the creation of man and woman and the world in which we live in a provable way. Look at the human eye and tell me that came from a big bang (what caused the bang) or from evolution. There must be a higher power than man. I believe that power is God.

Sept. 28, 2006, 1 p.m.Mars... I agree, I do not really see the mainstream EV church following what the Bible says either. I drove by one the other day with a sign on it "Dreams. Hope. God." I found it ammusing that God was listed third of three things. The mainstream evangelical church is a social club.... with a little religion thrown in for good measure. Don't worry, if people keep adhering to Rick Warren and the Purpose Driven Life..... they won't even be bringing their Bibles to church much longer. Rick Warren doesn't advocate too much of the Bible. So.... yeah... CC.... sorry to say, by I disagree with you on that one.
If anything, I would not call these kids evangelical, maybe charismatic or pentacostal.
