Muslim criticism against the Pope's remarks is mounting, but no one has actually read the whole speech. Benedict XVI criticises violence and proposes a reasonable alternative that could lead to a new Golden Age.

      Yeah, this doesn't help the negative stereotype of Islam and Muslims. The Pope QUOTES someone else in a speech that when read in whole is not as inflammatory as the complainers would have you believe and next thing you know we have Muslims marching and using violence to attack Christian churches.

      Message to the followers of Islam: As long as your reaction to every perceived wrong is violent, you are not going to be taken seriously by any of the rest of us. It is just insane.

      It is often said that the first step to being able to wage war on another people is to dehumanize them, so the war wagers do not feel empathy towards the victims. You are doing that FOR the other side. When we see this behavior, we tend to dehumanize the "animals" doing it. Which part of this don't you understand?
