blitzkrieg
Sept. 4, 2006, 3:41 p.m.Idiots. Can we atleast keep decency for something as personal as religion?
-

fotoman1133406
Sept. 4, 2006, 4:52 p.m.No one religion or belief is THE right/only one. Sad thing though is there are idiots that want to influence others to their way of belief/religion.
Talk about stupid.

Sept. 4, 2006, 6:23 p.m.That is the reason we have been fighting for the last 2000 years. We now have the ability to wipe this world clean of all life. Maybe this is the real answer to religion.

Conqueror
Sept. 4, 2006, 6:28 p.m.All religions were invented by man but if you're looking for salvation and eternal life look up to Jesus.

Sept. 4, 2006, 7:30 p.m.I say "F(BLEEP)ck the worldwide cult of 'religion'! F(BLEEP)ck it right to death!"

Sept. 4, 2006, 7:32 p.m.I guess you people don't get satire. You may think the skit was stupid. Well, DAHHHH that was the whole point. To show how stupid it is to fight over religion. Doesn't anyone have a sense of humor any more. Lighten up people!!!!
-

heyyy-now
Sept. 4, 2006, 7:35 p.m.The show is like SNL. Making fun of recent events and everyday life. That's all. It is a comedy series on a channel called "Comedy Network". They don't claim to try to solve the world problems or have the cure for cancer. It is comedy show!!!

Sept. 4, 2006, 9:20 p.m.Bullshit; there is nothing special about a religious belief, it is the same as any other belief. A religious belief is not more deserving of respect or acceptance than any other belief. That is one of the problems with our society today- there is a mentality that religion is somehow "untouchable" because it is so personal, but the fact is that a stupid belief is a stupid belief, religious or otherwise.

Sept. 4, 2006, 9:23 p.m.We get satire. But sadly, much LIKE SNL as you stated, it was a funny premise with a decent punchline at the end, but it wasn't that funny overall. It was a long way to go for very few laughs.
Colbert's interviews with congressmen are funnier. Much funnier...

Sept. 4, 2006, 9:39 p.m.Uh yeah Ed they could have started with yours!

Sept. 4, 2006, 11:43 p.m.Bill7777: You are an idiot. But of course you could not come to understand this on your own for it is your cognitive ability that is problematic in the first place. So I find it my moral obligation to inform you of this so that you may become aware of you disability and realize that if you were to post further comments, it would result in more incoherent gibberish and incite irritation among the rest of the Netscape community. Now that you understand the severity of the situation I trust that you will avoid future poor choices and simply subject to the world that is nearly entirely smarter than you.

Sept. 4, 2006, 11:55 p.m.Bill777:
I'm sorry for your lack of knowledge and your attitude...and where it'll get you in life. But hey, it's your choice to be totally clueless on these things and if you wish to be a moron, then by all means go for it.

WoeIsMe
Sept. 5, 2006, 12:12 a.m.Bill7777 is factually correct. Anyone willing to do the homework will see that all he said is true.
Or you can just listen to the popular opinion and nod your head in agreement.
The Koran condemns both Christians and Jews--if allah was the God fo Abraham, there would be no condemnation.
But-it was a very funny segment!

Sept. 5, 2006, 12:12 a.m.When did one's belief's suddenly become like a game show for the amusement of hordes of mamon

Sept. 5, 2006, 1:13 a.m.I have my own (religious) belief on the matter but I'm not going to get bent out of shape by a comedy sketch.

TwiceBorn
Sept. 5, 2006, 1:35 a.m.Many years ago when boxing was on free TV, I watched a boxing match for a world championship title belt. The challenger knocked out the champ and was being interviewed by one of the 3 sportscaster. "Did you expect to knock out the champ?"
"Before I say anything, I must give praise to Allah. Through him, all things are possible..."
A few months later, there was a rematch and the x-champ won back his title. The post fight interview went something like this: "How do feel winning back your title?"
"Before I say anything else, I must give thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who makes all things possible..."
After the interview, the sportscaster in the ring sent the camera back to the other two sportscasters. The play-by-play announcer asked the color man. "Do you think there should be a rematch?"
"Of course", he replied, "and then we can find out who really is the stronger God."
Too bad we never had the rematch. We may have been able to avoid 911.

ChristianZ
Sept. 5, 2006, 1:42 a.m.TwiceBorn, you actually bring up a good point. Very shortly after 9/11 Bin Laden said, "People will have sympathy for Islam and want to join it because now they see what we can do."

Have either of you ever read the Qur'an?
Allah said that Jews, Christians and Muslims have equal chances to go to Heaven.
Mohammed is hardly mentioned.
Moses is mentioned more than any other person.
Allah is Arabic for God.
I have read the Old Testament, New Testament, the Qur'an and the Book of Mormon. Reading those books will do more for your knowledge about religion than listening to debates on TV or reading E-mails that claim that verse 9:11 of the Qur'an predicted the 911 attacks.

Sept. 5, 2006, 2:23 a.m.I'm glad that Bill7777, WoelsMe and Christianz are on here. the seem to have an affinity for sticking to the facts and approaching life with a sense of humour. Incidentally, I wonder when/if segments of the islamic world begin to riot because Even Stephen made fun of both islam and allah. I wondered for a brief instant if Christians might riot also, but that was a very brief instant. I think most Christians tend not to be the rioting sort. Incidentally, has anyone checked out this website? http://zipperfish.com/free/yaafm12.php
The first time I watched it, I laughed so hard, I just about peed my pants and forgot my name. But I was also impressed by the number of valid points they made.
